Elżbieta Czyżewska
Elżbieta Czyżewska, wydawca, historyk sztuki. W latach 80/90 pracowała w Instytucie Sztuki PAN w Warszawie. Autorka ok. 50 tekstów publicystycznych poświęconych architekturze wnętrz i wzornictwu. Kierowała wydawnictwami prasowymi, redakcjami, działami marketingu, reklamy i promocji. Była dyrektorem działu promocji i reklamy jednego z największych wydawnictw prasowych w Polsce – Prószyński i S-ka. Była szefem działu wydawniczego Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie. Współpracowała z Instytutem Adama Mickiewicza i Ministerstwem Spraw Zagranicznych RP, a jej wydawnictwa wielokrotnie promowały Polskę w ramach przedsięwzięć podejmowanych przez te instytucje, m.in. „Borders”. W 2010 roku zrealizowała na zamówienie Ministerstwa Spraw Zagranicznych książkę „Polska Architektura Współczesna 1964 – 2010”, która trafiła do największych polskich placówek dyplomatycznych na świecie. W latach 2010 – 2024 wydawca książek i czasopism, między innymi „Krótka ulica – długa historia”, „Zwykłe – niezwykłe”, „Pasja i pragmatyzm”, „Czas świętowania”, „Etnografia nowa”.

antropolog kultury, autor ponad stu tekstów naukowych i publicystycznych dotyczących dziejów architektury, antropologii miasta, kultury wizualnej i antropologii przedmiotu, m.in. książek „Trzewia Lewiatana: antropologiczna interpretacja idei miasta-ogrodu” (2001), „Honorowa Nagroda SARP 1966-2006” (2006), „Trzewia Lewiatana: miasta-ogrody i narodziny przedmieścia kulturalnego” (2009), „Bulanda i Mucha architekci” (2011), „Morfologia obrazu” (2012). Współautor zbioru „Architecture and Avant-Garde in Poland 1918 – 1939 – Rassegna” (1996). Od 2008 do 2020 roku dyrektor Państwowego Muzeum Etnograficznego w Warszawie, a w latach 2012 – 2024 wykładowca Wydziału Sztuki Mediów ASP w Warszawie.

Stale współpracują z Zarządem Głównym Stowarzyszenia Architektów Polskich SARP i Narodowym Instytutem Architektury i Urbanistyki. Laureaci nagrody „Bene Merentibus” przyznanej przez Stowarzyszenie Architektów Polskich SARP w 2019 roku. Od roku 2009 wspólnie prowadzą autorski projekt cyklicznej konferencji „Między ortodoksją a kreacją”. Dwudniowa debata architektów, konserwatorów i inwestorów organizowana jest corocznie, wspólnie ze Stowarzyszeniem Architektów Polskich SARP i Narodowym Instytutem Architektury i Urbanistyki. Kolejna 16 Konferencja będzie odbędzie się w listopadzie 2024 roku.

Elżbieta Czyżewska
publisher, art historian. In the 1980s and 1990s she worked at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Author of approximately 50 journalistic texts devoted to interior architecture and design. She managed press publications, editorial offices, marketing, advertising and promotion departments. She was the director of the promotion and advertising department of one of the largest press publishing houses in Poland – Prószyński i S-ka. She was the head of the publishing department of the National Museum in Warsaw. She cooperated with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, and her publications repeatedly promoted Poland as part of projects undertaken by these institutions, including: „Borders”. In 2010, commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she produced the book „Polish Contemporary Architecture 1964 – 2010”, which was distributed to the largest Polish diplomatic missions in the world. In the years 2010 – 2024, publisher of books and magazines, including „Krótka ulica – długa historia”, „Zwykłe – niezwykłe”, „Pasja i pragmatyzm”, „Czas świętowania”, „Etnografia nowa”.

They constantly cooperate with the Main Board of the Association of Polish Architects SARP and the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning. Winners of the „Bene Merentibus” award granted by the Association of Polish Architects SARP in 2019. Since 2009, they have been running their own project of a cyclical conference „Między ortodoksją a kreacją” („Between orthodoxy and creation”). The two-day debate of architects, conservators and investors is organized annually, together with the Association of Polish Architects SARP and the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning. The next 16th Conference will be held in November 2024.
